As part of efforts to support indigent families during the lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus in Lagos State, Bomarah Foundation, has supported 200 indigent families with food palliatives.

The Foundation carried out this intervention yesterday in Apapa, even as it provided monetary support to disabled persons who were unable to come to the location for the food palliatives.

Speaking with MMS Plus newspaper after presenting the items, the Founder of Bomarah Foundation, Hajia Bola Muse asserted that the palliative measures was the for the masses, noting that the families would be adversely affected by the prolonged lockdown.

Her words: “This is an intervention to support the poor and needy around us. It was inspired by the tough situation we are in at the moment with the federal government extending the lockdown by another 14days while many Nigerians have no food to carry them through this period. The lockdown has kept many people at home for more than three weeks and most of these people earn their living on daily basis.”

“For people living with disabilities, we also reached out to them with monetary intervention because they can’t come out at such difficult times because of the lockdown. Most people don’t remember these disabled persons but at Bomarah Foundation, we always reach out to them”, she added.
