BULLS: Why Is Ajani The Headmistress?

Do you know why Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, is called the Headmistress? Her work culture and ethics spell that sobriquet in its finest form. She is not operating in the era of the Super-Permanent secretaries of the 70s and 80s but she is cast in their  mould.

The building housing the ministry was virtually empty the day Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) went on strike but a few dedicated workers came to work when others claimed they were being owed two months’ salary arrears and kept off. Ajani was in the office while many directors took off. She has a grip of the ministry from monitoring to cleaning and blocking financial leakages so much that some directors worked themselves to other ministries for irohi  survival!
