BULLS: Alluring Alaba
Iyalode Alaba Lawson is the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA). Alaba holds the record as the first female President of the notable association. Alaba is an educationist who owns and runs the LAWSON group of Schools in Abeokuta.
Prior to her appointment as NACCIMA President, she had been President, Odu’s Chambers of Commerce, President, Ogun Council of Chambers of Commerce, President Abeokuta Chambers of Commerce from 2005 till date, President, Federation of ECOWAS Business Women Entrepreneur (ECOWAS FEBWE) and Chairperson NACCIMA Business Woman Group (NAWORG).
She is a member, Institute of Directors (IOD), a member of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and a Council Member Nigeria British Chambers of Commerce (NBCC). Alaba is a good organizer who gives great attention to orderliness, little wonder her primary school teacher, Mrs. E.O. Dasaolu described her as “a very sharp and bold pupil who could never be intimidated to tell a lie”.
Yes, she is also a member of the Governing Council of the MMS Plus Hall of Fame, and we celebrate her as she begins her giant strives at the helm of NACCIMA.
