It started like it will not end four years ago. The Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority(NIWA), Dr. George Moghalu left NIWA on September 29,2023 after an inglorious years of service. He was a mistake at best in NIWA. He arrogantly refused to learn or even accept ideas to succeed.
He felt NIWA was a table to help him climb onto the government House of Anambra State. It was thought that his post-election days would be defined by constructive ideas to reposition NIWA with the control of vast waterways, but he failed. He was never proactive in managing the numerous boat mishaps that blighted the agency. He departure even inflicted crisis within. He failed. He failed his kinsmen, he failed the industry,etc
