The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) invited Journalists to a media parley scheduled for 10 am in which all the Public Relations Officers of all the Customs commands, including the National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller (DC) Timi Bomodi was in attendance. The event eventually kicked-off at 12 noon against the initial slated time. Journalists were locked out of the event venue for two hours. And no sitting arrangement was provided as some stood from that 10am to 12 noon when the programme started.
It shows how lowly Journalists are regarded by Customs. Incidently, the meeting was convened to discuss cordial relationship between the maritime media and Customs. How do we reconcile their actions and their intent here? And you think these people are serious! They even used ‘Kelebe’ to manage us. Can you beat this? Can’t you see that the baby they came to nurse died on arrival!
