BEARS: Corrupt Oga James
A freight forwarder known as ‘Oga James’ approached the National President of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Chief Increase Uche to plead with him in order to get an opportunity to vote in the upcoming NAGAFF elections when he wasn’t a member of the Association. He said; “Oga I came to greet you and to ask your how I can vote in the upcoming Apapa Chapter election because I have a candidate”.
NAGAFF President replies; “I know that you’re a friend of NAGAFF but I also know that you are not a registered member of NAGAFF. So, my advice is that you go to the hotel of your candidate eat and drink with them but when it is time to vote don’t be tempted to come near the NAGAFF secretariat because you would be arrested. The only option you have is to go through the due process to be registered before the election.”
Isn’t this the height of corruption? Why should someone who isn’t a registered member of an association conceive the idea that he could vote in the Association’s election?
Well, kudos to the NAGAFF President who was able to nip the problem in the bud.
