The recent reports that bandits successfully stole passengers luggage from the cargo holds of light aircraft in motion at the Lagos Airport has shown security lapses at the airport. It is a shame that this is happening in an airport that has been certified as having met the global standard in terms of security, passenger and aircraft facilitation. Where were the aviation security personnel of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) when these incidents happened? Or, could such have been the hand work of an insider as alleged by some industry watchers? We live in a world where bad things do happen, and FAAN needs to get its acts together to prevent worst things from happening around the airports. Tiwa Savage and Davido were the victims of the security challenge.
