Images of the abandoned Rivers state Monorail surfaced on the Internet. The N50billion project started in 2012 and the proposed completion date is 2015. But till now the project continues to remain abandoned after the change of government.
Infrastructure is the bedrock to developing any region. That is why it is disheartening to see abandoned projects which would have been a great leap in the development of the state.
It only shows a waste of taxpayers’ monies which would have been used for other beneficial projects.
