ANLCA Lauds NDLEA Strides In Fight Against Drug Abuse
Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has commended the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) for its efforts in the war against drug abuse and proliferation under the leadership of Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd).
The freight forwarding association conveyed its satisfactory notes in a letter signed by the National Vice President of ANLCA, Dr Kayode Farinto.
Describing the appointment of Buba Marwa as a round peg in a round hole at NDLEA, the association said it is delighted with Marwa’s intervention in the fight against drugs and psychotrophic substances which is yeilding positive results.
Farinto, however, admonished the NDLEA boss to begin the sensitisation of Nigeria’s teeming youths on the effect of drug abuse.
The letter read: “The entire members of the ANLCA wish to state that the appointment of Buba Marwa is a round peg in a round hole and it has begin to pay for the Buhari government. We are delighted that his intervention in the fight against drugs and psychotrophic substances is yeilding positive results. Particularly with the recent seizures of drugs in our ports, NDLEA Officers are now charged to be more vigilant under his leadership.
“Hence, we urge all licensed Customs Agents to be good ambassadors by ensuring that you do not facilitate clearance of hard drugs and other psychotrophic substances from our ports.”
“Finally, we urged Buba Marwa to immediately begin sensitisation programms for our teeming youths. I wish that they will know that those drugs can destroy their future.”
