Amaechi Meets 30 CRFFN Governing Board Aspirants, Orders Election Must Hold

The Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi has given a 2-week deadline for the conclusion of the Governing Board elections of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
Amaechi gave this directive yesterday after meeting with all the thirty aspirants for the CRFFN Governing Council election.
MMS Plus gathered that the Transport Minister listened to all contestants as they shared their concerns on the election stalemate, before he directed the Permanent Secretary to hold the election in line with the provisions of the Act.
Positing that the Ministry cannot afford to go contrary to the enabling Act or undermine the constitution federal republic, Amaechi stressed that he was more concerned with the emergence of a new Governing Council to be inaugurated.
He, however, requested the cooperation of the stakeholders so that in the next two weeks, the election should have been concluded.
Furthermore, he directed that, elections should hold in all the zones; South Eastern operational zones, South Western operational zone and split the election of one candidate for Abuja airport, Lagos airport, Port Harcourt airport, Kano airport and Seme border respectively.
At this point, the Hon. Minister took his leave and directed the permanent secretary to go on with the electioneering process.
