Agrikexpo to showcase opportunities in states
The sixth edition of the Africa’s event for agro business networking, Agrikexpo, and the Nigerian Agribusiness Group conference will focus on showcasing agro food investment opportunities in the 36 states of Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the event, a private sector-led initiative, will be opened by the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
A statement from them listed key public officials that would attend the event as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh; the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, with top captains of industry.
The Vice-President, NAGB, Dr. Emmanuel Ijewere, was quoted as saying that states should use the platform as an opportunity to showcase to the world, areas of agro food investment opportunities in their domains.
He advised financial institutions to leverage the conference to seek interface with the agribusiness prospects.
The Project Manager of the event, Mr. Ugo Nabisi, was quoted as saying that the event was coming at a time when West Africa was promoting support for intra-regional exports, including improved bilateral relations with the rest of the world.
He said that for the food and beverage brands, the event would offer a unique opportunity for promotional activities in the large Abuja market region and environs.
“It is also commendable that Agrikexpo will be heralding Nigeria at 57, and will also be an opportunity to bring to the open, the agricultural successes and vision of this administration,” he said.
