BEARS & BULLS

Bears: What is NPA scared of?

Bears: What is NPA scared of?
Bears Thumbs Down NPA

There is a problem  that requires an urgent solution. Can anybody explain why most management members of staff of the  Nigerian ports Authority (NPA) are always  very uncomfortable at the mention of NIMASA and Nigerian Shippers’ Council(NSC)?  In an age of synergy and collaboration NPA seems always comfortable being a lone ranger! They find fault always instead of playing the role of a father, which  they are.  Don’t forget that respect is earned not given.

Inter-agency collaboration should be encouraged to avoid conflict and unnecessary rivalry. Stakeholders would rather like to see inter-agency competition that could give birth to creativity and finesse in management and leadership.  At the mention of NIMASA and NSC always, NPA gets worried! Haba, why ? There is no race Na! Rotimi Amaechi should take note and do the needful.
I was so delighted when I sighted the DG of NIMASA at the Cocktail organized to welcome guests at the just concluded  14th Maritime Seminar for Judges  at the Supreme Court  in Abuja. Dakuku Peterside was walking free with everybody, networking for the good of NIMASA. Just that the media were not allowed to take his shot with the Chief Justice of the Federation. There was no NPA. Not even a mosquito from there! Too bad!!!
