NSC Holds 14th Maritime Seminar for Judges

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the National Judicial Institute (NJI) would on Tuesday May 31st– Wednesday June 1st holds the 14th Maritime Seminar for Judges at Sheraton Abuja hotel by 9am daily.

The 2-day seminar will feature topical issues on Maritime Law, Admiralty Jurisdiction, Electronic Evidence in Admiralty, Legal responsibilities of the Operation in the Ports (NPA, Terminal Operators, Shipping Agencies and Freight Fowarders), the role of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council in the maritime industry, among other issues.

The colloquium is expected to be attended by Justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Judges of Federal and State High Courts, Attorneys- General, Maritime law practitioners, Shipping Companies, Legal Officers of Public and Private companies and corporations, freight forwarders, Transport operators and stakeholders in the Maritime and shipping industry.

The seminar will be chaired by Chief Ernest Sonekan, GCFR, and several other notable dignitaries are expected at the event.
