NSCDC Arrests Three Suspects, Recovers 250 Drums Of Adulterated OilIn its determination to rid the Niger Delta of all forms of illegal activities, especially illegal bunkers paid off yesterday, as operatives of the Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Warri South Local Government Area of the State, uncovered a warehouse for illegal oil bunkers, arrested three suspects and recovered 250 drums of adulterated oil.

The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mrs. Beatrice Irabor who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, said that the 250 illegal drums recovered in the warehouse contained suspected AGO adulterated oil, disclosing that the drums were intercepted in a boat used in conveying the products by men of the operatives in the area.

She said: “The illegal products where stocked in the warehouse from where the suspects often distribute to unsuspecting buyers, men of the operatives who acted on a tip-off stormed the warehouse in one of the villages in the thick forest inside Warri South and arrested three of the suspects” saying that the suspects were at present being interrogated.

It will recalled that the NSCDC operatives barely two days ago had arrested six suspected bush burners and six suspected pipeline vandals in Sapele, Oghara, and Ogwashi-Uku, near Asaba are presently being investigated after confessing to their crimes.

Mrs. Irabor said that the suspects: Sele Brisibeo, Efe Fejiro and Oleke Akpoefe would be charged to court on completion of investigation and warned that it would no longer be business as usual for pipeline vandals and other illegal activities in the state.
