Women Leadership Institute Marks Eight Years Anniversary

Women Leadership Institute(WLI) held it 8th year anniversary conference in Abuja on Thursday, with a roll-call of who’s who in business and political spaces in Nigeria in attendance.

The Founder and Executive Chairman, Amb.Dr. Kema Chikwe shared the institute’s milestone and new directions, which includes pioneering Women Leadership University in the near future, in her welcome address.

The event provided opportunity for a cross-gender review of the fate of women in contemporary Nigerian setting and the place of the Reserved Seat Bill sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

Conscious of the fact that six critical gender bills were killed in the 9th Assembly, not much hope of survival was exercised by speakers at the conference for the Reserved Seat Bill.

However,Mr. Speaker
explained that the six bills couldn’t scale through because of lack of proper engagement but the 10th Assembly was determined to prove that they are gender- diversity and inclusive -minded. MMS Plus sincerely hope they don’t find reasons again to sacrifice this mission.

However, MMS Hall of Fame was represented at the event by a delegation led by Amb. Tina Kenechukwu, an Hall of Famer.
Congratulations to our own Amb. Dr. Chikwe, the Chairperson, Governing Council, MMS WoFHoF Initiative.

Enjoy the pictures.
