Ms. Elizabeth Aina Egharevba is one the two corporate nominees for the 2013 Class of the MMS Plus’ Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame.
This is a feat that underscores her impact to the society and leadership delivery. A highly pro-active, focused and versatile team player, with over 25 years of professional experience in Maritime Technology, Shipping Transport and Port Managerial Administration, she is an excellent, strategic self- starter, with proven track record in the management of both human and material resources. She became the first female Executive Director of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) in 53 years history of the authority, having held the position of ED, Marine and Operations between November, 2007 and December, 2011. This was a position earned as evidence of effective hard-work that punctuated her career as a civil servant.
Born in April 21, 1956, she obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree in English and Literature from the University of Benin. Her restlessness to improve herself and add value to the society got her into taking series of professional courses in Shipping and Port Management, International Marketing and Shipping Brokerage have gained employment with NPA after a stint as a lecturer.
Today, she is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amiable Consultancy and Logistics Services Ltd, but her exploit as ED, M&O in NPA still speaks for her. Her role in the conflict of appropriate port charges in the maritime industry and tireless efforts to make the port access roads free of traffic jam, through the provision of truck-holding bays endeared her to Nigerians, but in particular the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) that nominated her in place of their resourceful female members.
