The families of kidnapped Railway victims continue to express their cry for help. While some of them who have the ransom demanded by the bandits have since paid and freed their love ones, the fate of those who do not have, lies in the hands of a General without a political will.
It is almost 80 days since the victims are held captive, while their families have carried several demonstrations and protests to no avail.
President Buhari has neither demonstrated a strong will towards their rescue or show signs of sympathy. Few days ago, he met with the victims’ families and in his usual political body language and tone, reaffirmed his previous promises that yielded no results.
As it stands only Nigerians can pray and pay their way out of security dangers while the authorities gulp the funds.
