BULLS: Epitome Of Decency
Yet, it was another pleasant surprise last week when the unusual happened during the showcase of seizures by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), in Ikeja, Lagos. The showcase of the intercepted items would require crossing to the other side of the road where the service’s warehouse is located. You know what it means for the almighty Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) to be around. The gallant officers were on ground to do and undo in order to impress their boss. As usual, when the Customs bigwigs are on such tour all vehicular and other forms of movements would be put on hold but CGC Hameed Ali made a difference this time as echoed from the background “leave them, let them move, they aren’t disturbing us”.
That was a humble and disciplined boss commanding his officers to allow vehicular movement. Everyone was indeed impressed. What a portrait of leadership. Humility is indeed a good quality!
