Zoe Maritime Organizes First Global Maritime Business Conference
Zoe Maritime Resources Limited, a renowned trainer in the maritime industry is organizing its Premier Maritime International Business to Business Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th September 2016 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The conference will be opened by the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, while the convener of the conference is the international maritime lawyer and foreign affairs analyst, Mrs. Oritsematosan Edodo-Emore.
The conference is strategically aimed attracting foreign direct investment into the maritime industry in the West and Central African Sub-region and to stimulate Nigeria as a focal point and the hub of maritime activities in the Sub region.
The conference and exhibition also seeks to showcase the maritime capacities and capabilities of key players in the maritime industry in Nigeria and in the West and Central African Sub-region, and to bring in foreign businesses to partner with Nigerian companies and those of other countries in the sub region.
The theme of the conference is “Maritime Trade & Investments – Catalyst For Growth” and several pertinent port related issues such as; the development of port infrastructure, multimodal transport networks, development of Trucks Transit Parks, shipbuilding and growth of marine crafts, access to maritime finance and acquisition of marine vessels, etc.
Other issues to be addressed include; the establishment of dry ports and linkages with landlocked countries , maritime education, development of seafarers and manning capacity, maritime law and arbitration round table and the development of maritime jurisprudence in Africa, maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea, among others.
