In what has been described as the beginning of a new era of productivity and notable accomplishments, a new leadership team has emerged at Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) Nigeria.
Following a peaceful and seamless election yesterday, the new WISTA executives commissioned to serve from February 2022 to 2024 are: President – Mrs. Eunice Ezeoke; Vice President – Mrs. Anna Akpan; Secretary – Mrs. Chizoba Anyika; Treasurer – Dr. Odunayo Ani.
Others are: Public Relations Officer (PRO)- Mrs. Arit Nwokedi; Assistant Secretary – Mrs. Aisha Cole; Assistant PRO – Mrs. Rahmatu Ibrahim Karibi-Minah and Assistant Treasurer – Mrs. Stella Romaine Nwakacha.
Speaking shortly after the election, the WISTA Nigeria President, Mrs. Eunice Ezeoke thanked the members of WISTA Nigeria for the opportunity to serve another tenure, even as she extolled the WISTA Diamonds and her executives for the impact in previous years and looked forward to more robust future accomplishments.
‘We bring you compliments from the trustees and the entire new Executive Board members of this great Association. Today marks the beginning of a new era in WISTA Nigeria and we are so excited to say congratulations to our beautiful President Eunice Ezeoke, Vice President -Mrs. Anna Akpan and all the newly elected Executive Board members starting with Mrs. Arit Nwokedi, Rahmatu Karibi-Minah and Amazon Stella Romaine Nwakacha,” a statement by WISTA Nigeria read.
The group also reserved special commendation for the electoral committee of WISTA led by Barr. Oby Anubi, Dr. Mrs. Felicia Mogo, WIMA President Mrs. Rollens Macfoy, and FaithHope Alloysius.
“All the beautiful Diamonds Mrs. Jean-Chiazor Anishere (SAN), Hajia Jumai Musa, Chief Mrs. Carol Ufere, Barr. Rita Egbuche, Mrs. Irene Macfoy and all the distinguished members who took their time to attend physically and those who sent in their votes by Proxy, we appreciate you,” the new leadership team stated.
The occasion was also spiced with a wonderful lecture on health and wellness by a WISTA Diamond, Dr. Mrs. Ify Nwakwesi.
