Supply Chain Centre To Present Industry Report AS Stakeholdrs Review AfCFTA

The African  Centre for Supply Chain(ACSC) in collaboration with Multimix Academy is set to launch the  2021  edition  of the Nigerian Logistics and Supply Chain Industry report.

The event expected to feature  the ACSC 10th Fellowship Investiture and Membership Induction ceremony, has its theme as “ Supply Chain-Key to African Continental  Free Trade Area(AfCFTA) Success” and is billed to take place on  May25,2022 at Sheraton  Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos at 10 am.

Speaking on the event,the Director General of ACSC who is also a Consultant in Logistics and Supply Chain, Dr. Obiora Madu said that there is a huge deficit of data in the country because “We do not measure how things are done ,arguing that the inability and laxity to perform the necessary and constant measurement is the reason behind poor management and slow improvement in various sectors of the economy.

Implying that the Nigerian Logistics and Supply Chain Industry report is meant to feel some data gap in the logistics sector, Dr. Obiora emphasized that companies have what they call ‘Performance Measurement’, adding that  the Report is the only Industry Report in the Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain.

According to him, the nation needs more of its kind in other industries and for the nation at large.

Expected to deliver the keynote address is the Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on Public Affairs who is also the Secretary, National Action Committee on AfCFTA, Dr. Francis Anatogu.

The Report will be reviewed by Professor Samuel Odewunmi, former Dean School of Transport, Lagos State University (LASU).

Expected at the event also is the Chairman, Governing Council of ACSC, Professor A.G. Sumaila, FACSC; key stakeholders, Chief Executives of some government agencies, stakeholder  in Logistics and Supply Chain sector, among others.
