All trucks owned by SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited, a subsidiary of SIFAX Group, have received the approval of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) haulage truck registration team.

After the recent registration exercise of the NPA truck registration team to ascertain the road worthiness of SIFAX trucks, all SIFAX Haulage Trucks received a 100% pass mark.

Engineer Adeola David, Principal Manager, Safety, NPA Western Ports, who led an eleven-man NPA Safety department team to the Ijora office of SIFAX Group was highly impressed at the 100% road worthiness of SIFAX trucks.

According to Engr. David, the registration exercise is part of NPA’s resolve to stop rickety trucks from operating in the nation’s ports, adding that using sub-standard trucks in the industry had resulted to several avoidable accidents.

He said: “I am really impressed with what we have seen here today, I must commend SIFAX Haulage for its strict adherence to truck safety standards. This exercise has been fruitful so far and I must say that as a regulator, we are happy that an operator has deemed it fit to do the right thing. All the trucks are well maintained and have all the necessary gadgets and instruments needed and we are happy to say that they have passed our test by all standards”.

Speaking after the registration exercise, Mr. Saheed Lasisi, General Manager, SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited, said the positive outcome was as a result of the professionalism, dedicated work force and a massive investment made by SIFAX Group.

“We are excited about this test and its outcome. There has been a massive investment in the business by our holding company, SIFAX Group, in the last few years. In 2015 alone, we acquired 25 brand new trucks because of our business philosophy which hinges on servicing the clients with the best equipment and tools”, Mr. Saheed noted.

Mr. Saheed assured that the company wouldn’t rest on its oars even as it concludes plans to acquire another 25 new trucks. These new trucks have positioned SIFAX as a leader in the industry and Saheed hopes SIFAX can consolidate on the achievement for years to come.
