Presidency Approves Dikko’s Retirement
The voluntary retirement of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Dikko Inde Abdullahi from the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC), has finally received the approval of the Presidency with effect from Tuesday 18th August 2015.
The President, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, in a letter conveying his acceptance of the retirement, expressed the appreciation of government for the service which
the CG has rendered to the Nation in the last six years.
In a letter written earlier in the month to Mr. President by the CGC indicating his desire to voluntarily retire from service , Dikko expressed satisfaction for the
massive achievements recorded through dogged implementation of his six
point agenda which has modernized the Service.
According to him, These are; capacity building of officers and men, maximization of the potential of e-customs through improved Information and Communication Technology (ICT), enhanced welfare for officers and men, productive collaboration with stakeholders and coordinated public relation activities to foster mutual understanding.
In a valedictory meeting held with officers of the service at the headquarters, last week, he urged the personnel to remain focused and support the incoming administration to consolidate on his achievements.
