Emefiele to unveil economic direction for 2018
The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, will deliver a keynote address on the state of the banking industry and give perspectives on the focus of the regulatory authority on banking and the economy for 2018 and beyond at the 2017 Annual Bankers’ Dinner.
Scheduled to hold on Friday in Lagos, the event aims to further educate and enlighten the members of the banking community and other stakeholders in the economy on current banking reforms.
According to a statement by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the organisers of the event, the British Deputy High Commissioner, Ms. Laure Beaufils, is expected to be the guest of honour and will present the toast of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The event will attract top dignitaries from the banking and finance industries, the business community, members of the diplomatic corps and top government functionaries.
The President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, Prof. Segun Ajibola, will be the chairman while the Registrar of the institute, Mr. Seye Awojobi, will be the chief host of the event.
