BULLS: Nigeria Retains US Cat 1 Status
Nigeria’s aviation industry has again retained the United States of America Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Category One status that enables airlines from both countries to fly into each other’s airspace. The FAA last year audited the countries compliance with some safety measures in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, based on eight critical elements. They are legislation, regulations, organizations, technical staff, technical guidance tools, licensing, continuous surveillance and resolution of safety concerns.
Nigeria had continued to meet the safety oversight requirements under the international aviation standards, according to the FAA. More grease to your elbow the NCAA for this feat.
