Goodluck Nwadike’s arrest by officials of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) in Kano for storing falsified and substandard Tetanus Vaccines leaves a lot to be desired about Nigeria’s medical system and drug control.
The vaccines were found stored under poor storage conditions, in drawers in the shop when they were meant to be stored in temperatures between two degrees centigrade and eight degrees centigrade.
What could have happened to patients who used such vaccines one may wonder? Big thanks to the NAFDAC team that made this timely intervention!
