BEARS: PM Longe In Hot Romance
Since
the Tin Can Island Port(TCIP) access road became very un-motorable as a result of the dilapidated road, the First Gate bus stop, has become synonymous with refuse. The sight is usually awful and the oozing odour capable of infecting one with disease.
What an irony that members of the management of Tin Can Island Port come to work everyday, well dressed, wearing perfumes and alluring creams, driving and walking through the heaps of smelly refuse on their corridor! The port manager cannot be said to be a neat man when his environment is smelling! The refuse, of late, has even been turned to asphalt on the road. If the government cannot fix the bad spots, what about clearing the heaps of dirt? Don’t you think that the PM should be tried for environmental offences? The port is the highest revenue generating port yet the dirtiest among all! This dirty outlook has been the brand identity of Tin Can Island Port for years under Mr. Babatunde Longe as the PM. However, worried about this, the new Chief Executive Officer of Seaview Properties Limited, a contractor and subsidiary company of the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), Engr. Wada Musa has said that arrangements were being made to clear the mess. He is new on the seat but has worked out his formula.
His predecessor, Falade and Longe were romanticizing the refuse. Na waoo!
