BEARS: LASG ‘Okada’ Traps
The Lagos State Task Force on Environment and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, last week impounded 125 motorcycles plying restricted routes in the state.
The Chairman of the agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, disclosed that the task force was forced to clamp down on the motorcyclists due to failure to obey the Lagos Traffic Regulations. Refusal to adhere to these rules has led to the loss of lives. This has also led to the increase of road accidents in the country, sacrificing the lives of innocent people where a simple act of obedience is all that is needed. This sad situation could be prevented if these rules are adhered to by drivers and motorcyclist.
