BEARS: Fearful Inspector
When the top official from the Ministry of Works paid a working visit/ inspection to the Berger area of the Apapa-Oshodi road to scrutinize the bad portions of the road in conjunction with the officials of the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), she displayed high level of stamina, resilience and dexterity that anyone would have imagined that she was a regular commuter on the road; however, she blew her cover when the group she was leading had to navigate between a narrow isle and a haphazardly moving truck.
While most of the NARTO executives and journalists took the narrow path between the truck coming adjacent, she opted for 100% safety choosing to soil her boots in a nearby bush path than to share the narrow road with the oncoming truck.
Indeed she got the feel of the insecurity thousands of ordinary people face along the Oshodi-Apapa road. There is no doubt that her report would be vivid.
