The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has just concluded peaceful elections for the chapters in its Western zone.
While this has been applauded my many, there is a concern as to why ANLCA chose to use a hotel for the venue of the elections considering the cost of hiring the space when the association had such a magnificent spacious headquarters just a stone’s throw away from the rented facility.
What were the reasons for hiring when the headquarters could have been utilized to cut cost? What is a deliberate effort by the organizers of the election to embezzle funds? What is the essence of having such a great building if it wouldn’t be utilized optimally?
