ANLCA Mandates Members For Customs Training
Alhaji-Olayiwola-Shittu (National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents)

The National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has said that any customs broker who fails to undergo the Customs training will not be able to renew his or her licence whenever it expires.

He said this at the opening ceremony of the New Tin-can Island Chapter Secretariat of the association in Lagos, last week.

While speaking to the agents to attend the customs foundation training, he asserted that anyone who feels too big to learn will not be able to renew his operational licence when it expires.

However, he commended the efforts of the chapter executives for the initiative adding that the past executives did not lack initiative but it is God that allows anyone to carry out any project.

Speaking further, the ANLCA boss said the feat was a vindication of the effort of the present national executive’s right from their first tenure to make ANLCA an enviable entity.

On his part, the chapter chairman of ANLCA, Prince Kayode Oyinlola said the project would have been completed before now but for the challenges they face before and after the elections that brought them into power.

Without being particular about the challenges, he said they used them to provide a rallying point for all the association members in the chapter to serve as a spring board towards acquiring a permanent structure that the members could call their own.

He therefore said that they made the sacrifice for posterity as against the previous system where they operated without a secretariat.
