A socio-political group in Ondo State under the aegis of Akingboye Youth Support Group (AYSG), has assured that their principal Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform will promote entrepreneurship and develop viable human capital to improve Information and Communication Technology (ICT) if elected as the governor of the state.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the leader Comr. Jamiu Tajudeen yesterday at Okeagbe, Akoko North West Local Government of Ondo State; explains that his principal’s desire to develop ICT came as a result of his entrepreneurial spirit; passion for people to enjoy the goodies of self reliance and to succeed in their respective endeavors.

To achieve this, Tajudeen said, “Akingboye would retrain teachers across the state for more focused and ICT oriented understanding of multifunctional applications in learning, so as to share and promote innovative approaches in all sectors.”

Stressing further, he said; “Our own Otunba Akingboye believes in the growth of entrepreneurial skills as it’s a practical tool to getting the teeming population sufficiently engaged”, and also added that entrepreneurship is a tested problem solving tool, as there are countless problems waiting to be solved within the state

“I told you Akingboye is a tested and tireless life transformer and this has gotten our group filled with volunteers whose lives have met a divine transformation after his intervention. He has also influenced and fostered the positive development of countless youths within the younger generations whilst many have risen to become budding entrepreneurs in the state”

Tajudeen was sure that if elected as governor, Akingboye would focus on four key areas which are important ingredients required in savoring the state from its current economic woes: Access to capital, markets, human resources, and more importantly technology.

“Everyone knows the aforementioned are the key factors required for entrepreneurs to thrive in the contemporary world we are now.”

The group noted that the people of Ondo State have a history of engagement in their own future, therefore, partnership with a broad range of non-state actors, vis-à-vis the private sector, faith based organizations, professional associations, civil societies, communities and citizens is key for success.

“Going by global economic indices, an estimated 75 per cent of new jobs globally and as well as 90 percent in some emerging economies come from small and medium scale businesses. These further consolidates his stance and yearnings on ameliorating the paltry condition of our economy via engagements of all and sundry”, Tajudeen said.

He concluded with optimism that Akingboye will prioritize youth development, provide business friendly environment and make the best of investment in education.
