AFMESI To Train 150 Africans, Holds Regional Workshop On Blue Economy
To address the compelling capacity needs of the marine and blue economy, the African Marine Environment Sustainability Initiative, AFMESI is organizing a free training for no fewer than 150 persons at a two-day Symposium and Workshop billed for September 24th and 25th at Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Expected at the programme with the theme:” Achieving Blue Growth In A Changing Climate-Integrating the Coastal Communities”, are key global and regional stakeholders and experts from governments, industry, academia, and civil society organizations to discuss strategies for sustainability and value addition to “Blue Ecosystems” in Africa.
According to the President of AFMESI, the organizers, Dr. Felicia Mogo, “The free-workshop on day two is targeted at building the capacity of about 150 early and mid-career groups in marine and Blue Economy in Africa and beyond.
“The event will also present opportunities to learn, network[H1] [H2] , and collaborate on shaping the future of Africa’s blue economy journey”, She added.
