Aero Nigeria, AJW Partner On Aircraft MaintenanceA market leader in the global management of aircraft spares, AJW Group, has signed an agreement with Aero Contractors, Nigeria’s oldest carrier, to assist in the restructuring and upgrading of its MRO support services.

Aero Contractors will be supported by AJW Group with the upgrade of its MRO services to C check capabilities for Boeing 737 Classic and ensure that maintenance is carried out to very high standard, thus providing added quality assurance to customers.

Aero Contractors will be able to extend these services to third party operators in addition to their own fleet, both in-country and within region.

The group will also be focusing on the management of Aero Contractors’ assets to deliver an effective return on investment, disposal of Aero Contractors’ PW105 engines and to provide support with engine shop visit management.

Also, AJW Capital, the Group’s principal investing division responsible for the purchase, sale and lease of large aviation-related capital assets, will facilitate the acquisition of two new Bombardier Q400 aircraft for Aero Contractors.

President/CEO of AJW Group, Christopher Whiteside said: “Our focus on quality is instilled in everything we do, and our decision to work with Aero Contractors is testament to that.”

Also, Capt. Ado Sanusi, CEO of Aero Contractors, on his part said the partnership would have a marked effect on the airline’s operations going forward.

“Having been in the business for 58 years, I am confident we have found the right partner to work with,” he said.
