Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo Pays Condolence Visit To Odumakin, Chukwuma

A strong delegation of Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo on Tuesday paid condolence visits to two Nigerian activists, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin and Mrs. Josephine Chukwuma widows to late renowned civil society activists, Messrs. Yinka Odumakin who was Afenifere spokesman and Mr. Innocent C. Chukwuma, a courageous and dedicated activist.
In her condolence message, the President General, Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo and former Minister of Women Affairs, Iyom Josephine Anenih, and the delegates commiserated with the families of the deceased.
While delivering the condolence message, Mrs. Ify Akerele prayed that the Almighty God will repose the souls of the departed and comfort the bereaved families.
To show support to the two great widows, other members of the delegation, Barr. Mrs. Oby Anubi, Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Chiori, Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Chinwe Mogo, Ms. Ego Nwokocha, Mrs. Chizoba Anyika and Princess Adaeze Nwankwo expressed their grief that Nigeria has indeed lost two giants of democracy.
Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, shared glowing reminiscents of her life with her late husband while informing the delegation that the body will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 24th, 2021.
On the other hand, Mrs. Josephine Chukwuma expressed her pleasure at Nkata’s kind gesture as she led us into some of her late husband’s dreams and aspirations for humanity while promising to share the burial date as soon as it is confirmed.
The leader of the delegation assured both ladies of Nkata’s unwavering commitment towards partnerships for development and willingness to collaborate in advancing the cause of womankind.
Both spouses appreciated NNII for their support at this critical period in their lives and expressed hope for the resurrection morning.
