Air Peace set to begin flights to Ibadan
Domestic airline, Air Peace says it has concluded plans to commence flight operations to Ibadan.
The Chairman of the airline, Mr Allen Onyema, made this known at the University of Ibadan Alumni Association luncheon and awards, where Air Peace bagged a corporate award of excellence in the delivery of safe and comfortable flights.
“Very soon, we shall start flying Abuja-Ibadan-Abuja daily, Kano-Ibadan-Kano and Owerri-Ibadan-Owerri three times a week,” Onyema was quoted as saying in a statement by the airline.
Onyema, while delivering a lecture on ‘Nigeria and the rise and rise of ethnic nationalism’, said the nation’s challenge remained the inability to live beyond the prisms of ethnicity.
The UI alumnus said Nigerians whipped up ethnic sentiments in salient national discourses.
“We must make a resolve to start harnessing the powers that lie in our ethnic composition and leverage them for the development of the country,” he said.
While appreciating the award, he urged his fellow alumni to give back to the university and the larger society.
