Two dead, One Injured As Helicopter Crash Land In Lagos
Helicopter crash at a residential building, at Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, at noon today.

Two persons have died in an helicopter crash which occurred in Ikeja, Lagos while another victim is severely injured.
The helicopter, a Bell 206B3, with registration number 5N BQW which belongs to Quorum Aviation, crashed at 16A Salvation, Opebi Road in Ikeja, Lagos.
Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), the investigating body in charge of all aviation-related accidents and incidents in Nigeria, has begun an investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the crash.
AIB confirmed this in a statement on its official twitter page “a helicopter just crashed into a building at Salvation Road, Opebi. Today, Friday, 28th August 2020 about 12.17 pm. AIB Investigators are currently on the site”.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed that an adult male was rescued and taken to LASUTH for further treatment. While two adult male were confirmed dead.
The Director General, LASEMA, Femi Osanyintolu, also noted that the accident happened at mid-day when a distress call was made.
His words: “At about 12noon, we received a distress call in our command and control centre that there was a helicopter mishap and immediately we activated the Lagos state emergency response team.
“We were able to rescue one person alive and he has been transferred to the Lagos state teaching hospital where he is receiving adequate treatment, but it is pertinent to note that we recovered two bodies and they have been deposited at the mortuary.”
