The World Customs Organisation (WCO) has honoured the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) for its exceptional support and contribution towards helping the service to achieve its mandate.
The WCO merit award certificate signed by the Secretary-General, Kumio Mikuriya was handed to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SAHCOL, Oluropo Owolabi by the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Dikko Abdullahi on the occasion of the International Customs Day celebration at the Customs headquarters in Abuja, last week.
While presenting the award, Dikko said, “In line with World Customs Organisation practice of rewarding excellence, SAHCOL has been selected as an outstanding terminal operator to receive this year’s WCO award for rendering exceptional services to the international customs community.”
The is one of the stream of awards received by the organization in recent times owing to the massive revolution it has brought to Aviation Ground Handling operations in Nigeria since it was fully taken over by SIFAX in 2009.
Recall that SAHCOL recently acquired modern state-of-the-art equipment and facilities as well as construction of modern corporate headquarters, automated customs bonded warehouse.
