The Federal Government has said passengers on domestic flight can now arrive the airport one hour, thirty minutes before their flight take-off.
Prior to the announcement, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had earlier advised passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight.
The new development was disclosed in a tweet on Monday by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika via his Twitter handle @hadisirika.
The Minister of Aviation, however advised travelers to check in online.
The tweet reads: “My colleagues and I have reviewed passenger facilitation at our airports; consequently I am happy to announce that, henceforth travelers are to arrive one hour and a half before their departure time for domestic flights. Travelers are advised to check in online, please.”
It should be noted that the early arrival would give the airlines and airport officials ample time to enable health checks and preventive measures following the COVID-19 pandemic.
