NPA TAKES OVER AGURA HOTELS, APPOINTS AJAYI GMThe Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has assumed full ownership of Agura Hotels, Abuja after a judgment was delivered in its favour.

The press statement made available to MMS Plus by the Assistant General Manager, Corporate &Strategic Communications, Mr. Ibrahim Nasiru stated that NPA secured a Federal High Court judgment against Fasel Services Limited, Omeire Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry Limited, Chief M.O. Kanu and Daniel in 2003.

The NPA  board at a meeting  on  Tuesday resolved that  the hotel would henceforth be fully taken over and managed  by  NPA Management and consequently, the Managing Director of NPA, Ms. Hadiza Bala- Usman has emerged  the Chairman ,  Chief Michael  Ajayi,  the interim General Manager of the hotel.

The new Board of the hotel  has ordered that a forensic audit of the hotel be carried out immediately, while the current management of the hotel steps down and handing over all relevant financial documents of the company to the newly appointed General Manager.

The Board also directed that all bank accounts hitherto operated be frozen while new accounts be opened to enable swift and continuous operation of the hotel.
