NAGAFF Inaugurates New National Executives

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has inaugurated its new National Executive Council (NEC) as part of a restructuring exercise to position the association for enhanced administrative competence.

The list of National Officers include; National President – Chief Increase Uche, Deputy National President Headquarters – Mr. Simeon Nwonu, Head Legal Adviser – Barr Fred Akokhia, Secretary General – Mr. Dipo Olayoku, Assistant Secretary General – Mr. Obasi Akpo, National Treasurer – Mrs. Melody Obehi, National Financial Secretary – Pastor Emma Chukwuma, National Publicity Secretary – Mr. Stanley Ezenga.

Others are; Freight Forwarders Relation Officer – Mr. Ifeanyi Ekemezie, Ethics, Complaint & Discipline – Chris Agbawo, Inspectorate & Intelligence – Pius Ogudo, National Welfare Officer – Mrs. Uju Ebubedike, National Women Leader – Deaconess Kate Oghagbon, Head of Special Duty – Rev. Emma Agubanze, Anti Corruption – Mr. Ugochukwu Nnadi and National Auditor – Mr. Yusuf Oladimeji.

Some other legal advisers are; Barr. Okwudili Alagbu and Barr. Henry Owarotimi .

The Deputy National Presidents Seaports are; South South – HRH Chief Mike Atu Okechukwu, South West – Chief Obums Anene while the Deputy National Presidents Land Borders include; South West – Dr. Ichoku Rapheal, North West – Alh. Babangida B. S.

The Deputy National Presidents Air Logistics; South West – Mr. Elihu Eshiet, North West – Mr. Sanni Usman Balogun, South South – Mr. Ebby Martins while theVice Presidents Seaports are-South West – Prince Chris Agba, South South – Mr. Mike C. Onyia

Vice Presidents Air Logistics are; South South – South West – Idris Mohammed, North West – Alh. Muftahu Ya’u, South East – Mr. Sunny Okonkwo. Vice Presidents Land Borders- South West – North West – Bello Magaji, among others.

The President of NAGAFF, Chief Increase Uche urged the newly inaugurated executives to support the leadership of the association and avail themselves to various tasks as the body thrives to achieve its set goals.

According to the President, it was a huge challenge to be saddled with national positions in NAGAFF but he encouraged the new executives to show diligence and charisma required for success at their various roles.

On his part, the Board of Trustees Chairman of the association, Chidiebere Enelamah urged the new executives to be braced for the enormous challenges ahead as their new status as leaders demanded that they would make sacrifices and be forced to take daring decisions while fulfilling their mandates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Enelamah admonished the executives to respect their superiors in order to gain the respect of their subordinates and freight forwarders in other associations.

NAGAFF’s founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam refuted claims that the association was been undemocratic for not conducting elections, he stressed that the association didn’t want to allow misfits get into the position of leadership but ensure the recycling of great and competent people as leaders.

However, he disclosed that by 2020 the Association would hold elections into the various national executive positions as he expressed confidence that NAGAFF has evolved to the right standard to begin elections.
