NAGAFF Appoints Youths Ambassadors For Empowerment
The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has appointment seven youths as ambassadors in order to empower the society.
The association gave the ambassadodorial appointment after a press conference which held at the NAGAFF headquarters in Apapa, Lagos.
The young individuals who where appointed are; Cyril Uzoma, Sunday Bassey, Prince Ndubuisi, and Ohanusi- Chinonso Emmanuel, Ikechukwu Ezeagha, Muhammed Abudulahi and Adeoye Abiodun.
The Founder of NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Aniebonam noted that association has been committed to empwering youths from it’s every existence.
“NAGAFF from the onset has always had something in mind to do which is developing the young ones. We are interested in the young ones and it makes us happy as an association to see young freight forwarders grow”.
“We have taken freight forwarding to the young ones and we have gotten several graduates who are now involved in freight forwarding. Some of these young ambassadors that have been appointed are musicians, MCs and entertainers and they are still freight forwarder. You can study any course in the university and still become a freight forwarder. We want to make these young ones a pool of resourceful persons. These are young ones who have distinguished themselves in the profession” he stressed.
He urged the ambassadors to represent the association well and promised to support them in their various careers.
“Wherever you go, be an ambassador of NAGAFF. We are ready to assist you in whatever you want to do. We are committed to create capacity for the nation building”.
Also speaking at the event, the Deputy National President, NAGAFF headquarters, Dr. Simeon Nwonu urged the ambassadors to be disciplined while stressing that they would be relieved of their positions do not uphold good behavioral standards in the society.
“We urge our ambassadors to be disciplined. As we award these certifications to you, we are watching you and if we find out that your character has become questionable, we would withdraw the ambassadorial appointment” he said.
One of the ambassadors, Prince Ndubuisi, thanked NAGAFF for the opportunity and promised that the team would continue to spread the good message about freight forwarding to younger ones.
