Lola is the brain behind the Bloom initiative powered by Carbon to solve the problem of gender disparity in the fintech industry in Nigeria.
Bloom was conceived after Carbon realized that despite an almost equal male to female national population split, there was a wide disparity in transactions with female-derived transactions only being a quarter of the total business. To solve the problem of gender inequality, Bloom’s goal is to increase a female business share from 25% to 45% by the end of 2019.
