Comptroller Nnadi Takes Over Leadership At Ogun 1 Customs Command

One of the newly promoted Comptrollers of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Dera Nnadi has been entrusted with the mantle of leadership of Ogun I Command of the Service, taking over from Comptroller Peter Kolo, yesterday.

Prior to his appointment, Compt. Dera Nnadi had served in the Command as Deputy Controller in charge of Administration.

The hand-over took place on Monday, 18th October, 2021 at the Conference Room of the Command.

In his hand over speech, Comptroller Peter Kolo thanked the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hammed Ali (Rtd) and the entire Management for giving the opportunity and level playing ground to serve as the Area Controller of Ogun I Command.

Kolo expressed gratitude to the principal and entire officers for their unflinching support and cooperation, even as he congratulated the new Area Controller and described his appointment as a round peg in a round hole.

He added that he fully-convinced that Dera Nnadi will not only sustain his legacy, but also build on it, stating that he prays and wishes him well in his new endeavour.

In his response, Comptroller Dera Nnadi also thanked the NCS management for finding him worthy of the position and pledged to discharge his duty with due diligence and high sense of responsibility.

Nnadi also appreciated the outgoing Area Controller, Kolo for his mentorship and selfless service to the nation, lauding his administrative style and promising to uphold his legacy to an enviable status for the Service.

Comptroller Nnadi wished him ‘happy and peaceful retirement’, even as he called on all the principal officers and the entire officers of the Command to extend their loyalty and cooperation to him.

Comptroller Peter Kolo has proceeded on his three months pre-retirement leave.
