CILT Takes Transportation, Logistics  Innovation To The Next Level
As part of its effort to redefine logistics and transportation in Nigeria in line with global standards,the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation is organizing a two day programme in Nigeria .
The programme scheduled for 11th and 12  of November, 2022,will feature experts ,business leaders, Professionals and the academia from round the globe.
Prof.Kayode  Oyesiku, Chairman of the event’s planning committee, disclosed this during a press briefing last week in Lagos.
Prof. Oyesiku, revealed that  the two day  Summit will witness participants from around  the world  engage in  critical discussions aimed at bringing fresh innovations and ideas targeted at transforming the logistics and transport hub of the country and state.
Prof.Oyesiku noted that “The importance of logistics to the socio economic development  of nations cannot be  overemphasized.The logistics Performance index (LPI) of nations is now the yardstick for measuring their economic resilience and competitiveness” he said
Adding that “Where ever the LPIs are weak ,the economy is vulnerable and susceptible to uncertainty and high business risk”
 Prof.Oyesiku hinted that the conference will comprise various technical sessions where subject-matter experts will lead conversations primarily aimed at interrogating the future of logistics and transport operations in Nigeria, especially within the context of a rapidly changing service environment, technological innovations and extensive planning dynamics that characterize logistics, transport and supply chain at the present time.
He said the conference will encourage multidisciplinary networks and will provide platforms for academics and professionals to identify and examine the challenges, as well as proffer effective solutions for national logistics and transport operations .
He said the three day event with the theme: Sustainable Innovation in Global  Logistics and Transport,will also feature exhibitions of transportation and logistics products from cognate industries and sectors, while availing an opportunity for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for industry stakeholders and providing an excellent platform for networking.
 President of CILT International, Mr. Paul Sainthouse, is among the top guests expected to grace the summit
