BULLS: NRC Goes Digital
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) announced on Wednesday that it has commenced the e-ticketing for train services on the Abuja-Kaduna route and would be on test run for a week before its formal inauguration on January 20.
This development is one of the good things to occur in the transport sector in 2021, however, despite this great initiative by NRC some questions need to be asked.
Why did it take the agency five years to work out such e-payment system? What is the comprehensive strategy for managing the railways? Isn’t it time to utilize Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for Nigerian railways since past experience show that NRC has failed?
