The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) threw a lavish party to celebrate the fact that it escaped the delisting by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which consumed seventy-four political parties. The founder of NNPP, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam organized the party which was rather uncalled for. NNPP should be focused on priding itself as a party with one or two state governors. Its goal should be targeting a couple of House of Representatives members or Senatorial places.
Have we expected too much from NNPP to believe that the political party should have better things to celebrate than the fact that it avoided INEC delisting? Was the party expecting to be delisted?
NNPP has got potentials to be great and achieve great feats. The leadership should focus on this and not trivial issues.
