BULLS: Contractors’ Zeal

BULLS: Contractors' Zeal
BULLS Thumbs Up

One week after the revelation that officials of the Ministry of Works and the contractors of the ongoing road construction for Mile 2/ Tin Can Port access roads have been selling extracted rubbles for N40,000 per tipper, the contractors seem to found a new zeal working tirelessly and beyond their previous earlier closing time by 6pm.

Despite earlier promises to use the rubbles in filling potholes, the supervisors converted the extracted rubbles and stones into cash cows for themselves. Other industry stakeholders such as the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) have threatened to strike following the slow pace of the construction.

Let’s hope the contractors have changed for good.
