Despite the efforts of the Western Ports of the Nigerian Ports Authority towards ensuring only healthy trucks are allowed to business at the ports via Truck registration exercise, several rickety trucks are still seen entering and exiting the ports daily.

When MMS Plus quizzed a senior staff of NPA over this anomaly, he quickly retorted that it was as a result of the ‘Nigerian factor’. Nigeria Factor is an explanation for anything and everything negative in the country such as lateness and the blossoming culture of corruption.

Here is the rhetoric question; how did these trucks manage to pass NPA’s registration to get the NPA sticker? Isn’t this more of an NPA factor than a Nigerian factor?
