When Olumide Fakonde stood up to speak on behalf of the president of the Association Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), the senior executives who arrived late for the event began a rebellion.
After four minutes the reason for their complaints became crystal clear as Olumide hoovered around several frivolous issues since he wasn’t prepared to give a speech. The National Public Relations Officer Kunle Farinto was called to salvage the situation.
One just has to wonder why ANLCA wouldn’t take the capacity building of its members more seriously to avoid such public embarrassment. Shey the embarrassment would have been avoided if the top executives weren’t tardy?
